We checked out a trail that we had been driving past many times. The sky was overcast and the canopy was tight so light levels were low. I wanted to travel light so no tripod or macros lens for the DSLR. Luckily the iPhone takes great shots.

My favorite trail to walk in #Guelph #Ontario Canada is the #SpeedRiverTrail which goes through #Niska woods and along the #SpeedRiver. The Eastern White #Cedar #trees with the reddish bark, line the trail in some areas and provide not only a canopy along the path but wonderful #winter interest and contrast!

It was a lovely day for a winter walk on the #SpeedRiver Trail in #Guelph #Ontario #Canada. The snow was gently falling on the calm river, the tree branches were lightly dusted with the white snowflakes and it was so peaceful.

Day 15 #AdventCalendar I was surprised to see this rare Domestic Greylag x Canada Goose on the #SpeedRiver in Guelph #Ontario Canada. This unique Goose was hanging out with a group of Canada Geese. The Domestic #GreylagGoose is not native to Canada with their home territory being Europe and Asia and they will breed with Canada Geese.

Hiking along the #SpeedRiver Trail in #Guelph #Ontario Canada is always a treat and a place where you will be assured of finding something interesting.The graffiti on the underside of the bridge cast a glowing #golden light on the wavy shallow water and created a molten #gold abstract to highlight the moving water over the #rocks.
