    For reasons unknown, it seems to be common in many new German buildings for the Internet connection to be fed into a flat through a metal distribution box.

    Basically, it's #FaradayCage that is "designed" to mount your Wi-Fi router(!!) inside of it. It's also too small for most default ISP modems.

    Hence I replaced my #Telekom #Speedport with a #TPLink VX231v.

    (I do not use the WLAN of the modem, but a dedicated router mesh system from TP-Link connected via Ethernet with it.) #3dprinting
