I focus on #HiddenHearingLoss noise exposure & I’m really interested in the intersection between noise exposure & #Neurodivergent conditions like #Autism & #Schizophrenia .

Our chapter “Listening difficulty: From hearing to language” is out in the book series The Psychology of Learning and Motivation! We highlight often overlooked connections between cognitive hearing science and psycholinguistics and make recommendations for moving the fields forward together.

Our new #trendsinhearing paper is out!
We found evidence that anticipation of upcoming listening difficulty impacted baseline pupil size and the shape of the task-evoked pupil response during 60-sec story listening.
Led by former UMD postdoc Mike Johns in collaboration with @jzsimon and many others.
