seit gestern ist die Fackel für die #specialOlympics unterwegs, die vom 15. bis 20. Juni erstmals in Saarland ausgetragen werden!
Am 13. Juni wird die Fackel durch den #Saarpfalzkreis getragen - eingebettet in einen Wettkampf. Mehr dazu in den Kommentaren!

i went to #SpecialOlympics swim practice yesterday and i was cutting through the water, despite being tired from masters swim practice that morning.
i have improved in two weeks of intense 6 days a week practice. i hope this translates to the meet and at least beat my personal best (i want gold in everything ofc. but like...realistically i want my pr/pb). i will take a rest day tomorrow and compete saturday.
i'm gonna kill it next year if i keep this up. most ppl take a break.

went to my first practice with the local Palmetto Masters swim team.
i was late so just did the warm up portion. it took me about 45 minutes. with stopping to get feedback from the coach and introducing myself to the other swimmers.
more rigorous than #specialOlympics practice but fun!
there is a cost associated with it after my free trial runs out. but i'll cross that bridge when i get to it. i'll try to get there earlier tomorrow to ask about pool membership fees.

i (suprisingly) got first place in the 25 m backstroke at my swim meet.
it did not go like that last year hence the surprise.
50 m freestyle and 100 m relay (freestyle) to go.
and i am heading the relay.
