  2. For #StallionSaturday I introduce Stardust. This big, handsome roan is part of the north Onaqui herd in Utah's west desert. He's an older guy and known as a solitary stallion, meaning he doesn't have a band and doesn't usually hang with the other bachelors.

  3. #FlashbackFriday to spring on Shackleford Banks in 2018. The ponies haven't lost their winter woolies yet. These Banker ponies are isolated on an uninhabited offshore barrier island, only accessible by boat. It is about 9 miles long, and less than a mile wide.

They've been DNA tested to the original Iberian stock brought to the Americas by the murderous Conquistadors. This isolated herd found in the far NW corner of Washoe County, Nevada, feature primitive (dun factor) markings including leg stripes, breast herringbones, dorsal stripes, black facial stripes, and capes.
