I'm generally underwhelmed by #SpaghettiSquash when serving it with any pasta sauce recipe I've tried so far (typically tomato based).

Any suggestions for some approach you enjoy where it doesn't taste like a weak substitute for real pasta?

I was craving some #spaghettiSquash today, but none of mine were ripe... so I decided to do a little experiment.

Picked an unripe one (hadn't turned yellow yet but the rind was quite firm), scooped out the seeds and fried a bit of it up.

The flesh was green and extremely firm, but it tastes AMAZING. Once cooked, it does have the fibrous quality of ripe spaghetti squash, and it got tender quick.

Would recommend.

I'm growing a remarkably vigorous #hybrid #spaghettiSquash that's supposed to be a "summer type" which I assumed meant it was a *not* a winter #squash and could be eaten like other summer squash, but I can find exactly zero information on this thing so I have no idea when to pick it, whether or not it needs curing, etc, etc. #gardening #help

Last year I looked up why the flowers, then the beginnings of things (kamokamo, pumpkin, squash) kept starting to form and then fell off the vine... This year I feel better prepared and I know which flower is which
