Heute endet die diesjährige Sitzung des Rechtsunterausschuss des UN-Weltraumausschusses. In den letzten zwei Wochen wurde in Wien viel diskutiert und intensiv verhandelt, unter anderem der von DEU initiierte Vorschlag eine "Study Group on legal and policy aspects of space traffic" einzurichten. Es war mir eine Ehre und eine Freude, daran mitzuwirken.

A global system of #SpaceTraffic management was defined by the International Academy of #Astronautics in its 📆 2006 study as a "set of technical and regulatory provisions for promoting safe access into outer space, operations in #OuterSpace, and return from outer space to #Earth free from physical or radiofrequency interference."
