November 16, 2024 – Sourland Mountain Preserve This morning started as planned. I had a haircut with Victor at 8 AM, and as usual, he nailed it. It’s the same cut I always get, inspired by Dr. Hugh Culber from Star Trek: Discovery. Victor knows exactly how to make it look sharp and clean, and honestly, it’s worth the drive to Ewing Township, even if it’s nearly an hour each way. After my recent disappointing attempts at spotting raptors at Chimney Rock Hawk Watch and Linden’s Hawk Rise Sanctuary, I was feeling a bit jaded. Rather than chase elusive birds yet again, I figured a relaxed morning closer to home might be just what I needed—a little reset.
