They have a new Sound Voltex machine!

eAmusement doesn't work on the machine (yet?) but there is a headphone port and this game is kinda wild.

Correct inputs add distortions to the music. So (1.) you don't just lose music on bad notes like in Pop'n and (2.) even simple songs sounds kinda amazing when played right, with all the filter sweeps and fuzz and-

What I'm saying is I might have a new favorite rhythm game.

Classic Konami, for the past 1-2 weeks US Region has been rolled back to 20250324 date code on all SDVX cabinets.

And of course because everyone outside of Japan is an afterthough they have not fixed or even acknowledged this issue at all.

So for the few wondering, no its not you. VARIANT GATE did disappear for no apparent reason.

Had a peculiar thing happen to me today I really enjoy the Konami 50th anniversary tracks and decided to play them today I got a full combo on the flagship melody and it happened to be the exact same score as my old one from over a month ago left is old right is new #bemani #soundvoltex #SDVX #konami #rhythmgaming

I kid, I kid. But now that I've gotten your attention: does anyone know how the hell to unlock avatars on that game that don't look like Chris Hansen is going to walk out from behind the arcade cabinet and ask me to have a seat over there?

I play at Round1 USA but if crew unlocks are Japan-only I can just put "get SDVX unlocks" on my Japan Trip Bucket List.
