On the day Sound Transit was set to release updated numbers from Monday's record-setting train ridership, a loose latch on a hatch sent everything to a grinding halt. The transit agency said it is inspecting light rail cars to prevent another 15-hour shutdown.

Saturday my wife came up with a great idea to take the new light rail line (the 2 Line) into downtown Redmond. So, we did. We had coffee at Victor's, walked around, then ate lunch at Palmer Bar & Grill. On the return trip, we got off at the South Bellevue Station and walked around the Mercer Slough Nature Park. We spotted a garter snake and got eaten alive by mosquitoes. Back on the train for home. Good views of downtown Seattle. #PNW #SoundTransit #nature #photography #Seattle #Bellevue #city

Yesterday afternoon my son and I rode Sound Transit light rail from Northgate to Redmond and back, then continued to Lynnwood. ADA compliant, good ventilation, it was clean and fast, following the major highways so familiar to us as car drivers. We became very dehydrated despite carrying water vecause there are no toilets in the stations. No drinking fountains, no children. No Ballard line.

Anyways, now that I've settled in #Seattle (pun not intended) I must try the #transit. And yeah, I've taken the Crosslake a few times now... It's hard to get a good picture on the bridge itself though, so here's the newer train (which I like more than the older one).

Apparently #SoundTransit is attempting to cut stations, such as west #seattle , ballard, #issaquah , and #kirkland , from the new ST3 project due to running out of funding. Unforchies it doesnt look like Microsoft is going to foot the bill this time like with the 2 line.
Article below goes into detail, petition below demands that W.Seattle and Ballard stations be re-instated. Haven't seen any other info so far but if anyone knows anything else feel free to add on to the post
