I have never had any doubts about the musical talents of James Brown, but it's very nice to see him step out of his usual role as Soul Brother Number One and just enjoy himself being in awe of two of his fellow artists. And of course, both Bobby Bland and B.B.King totally deserve it:
James Brown, Bobby Bland & B.B.King: Blues medley (a mid-seventies live performance from the "Soul Train")
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PSOgmmqqvoFor some reason I had not watched this before, but I'm real glad that I did!

More snooker on Channel 5 tomorrow and Sunday afternoon.
Breakers! Force MDs feel the moment with "Tender love", a five-part male soul harmony record. It's a lot more pleasant than the video, where the gang serenade a woman from her front porch...

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
& a time to dance, dance, dance with all the joy in your soul. -

Seems like a borderline scandal to me that, as far as I can tell, there's nowhere anyone (at least here in the UK) can stream old #SoulTrain episodes?
Depending on certain specific performances staying on YouTube for long is a sorry situation, honestly...

My favorite song by #TheSpinners is probably their 1972 hit "Could It Be I'm Falling In Love". Here they are performing it in 1973 on #SoulTrain:
