I am of course absolutely rinsing Soulseek for tunes and albums inspired by my journey through the back catalogue of Mary Anne Hobbs shows.
I started listening to her back when we would tape things off the radio, and weirdly I still have dreams about finding those lost tapes which were the soundtrack to many car journeys.

I don't know if I'm the last person to know this but I just learned about Soulseek, which is music sharing software that's different from torrenting. It works so well and the selection is beyond belief! I found two albums that I've had on vinyl forever but could never find digital versions.

I started with a Linux flatpack, which hung my computer a couple times -- this *never* happens on Linux -- but then found out about Licorice, which is a client with a Debian repository and it's working great! Anyway, here's Ted Lundy and the Southern Mountain Boys singing It Rained a Mist, which is an obscure murder ballad. Arrr, y'all! 🏴‍☠️🦜

ETA: There is a very functional android client as well, called Seeker. I got it via Obtanium from GitHub at: https://github.com/jackBonadies/SeekerAndroid

Moving away from discord and that made me think of what kind of communities and alternatives might be out there.

I am curious, are there any notable peer-to-peer communities / social networks?
I still think fondly back to the Soulseek times and how cool it was to find wild new music artitsts. I kinda like the idea of sharing and exchanging ttrpg projects in that manner, but maybe also with a framework to engage in conversations?

pero estoy atascado en la parte de conseguir una clave API para soulseek

me pongo en el contenedor donde tengo soulseek, donde esta instalado.. lanzo el comando ./slskd --generate-secret
pero que le de un valor o no despues, me da error
