Well, as I mentioned in my last post – there is a lot going on in my life, and I have not managed to do the #Inktober drawings for the last few days. But here is the picture for day 8: #toad. Maybe I will be able to do the ones for the last three days later, but currently, the goal is to get some of the prompts done. Next year, I need to be better prepared.

I bought 3 of these multicolored pencils and I feel only one of them works well. The one with neon colors and the one with yellows and reds do not show up well. But the one with yellow, red, and blue looks awesome.

More from the mini sketchbook. When I last visited the art store, I bought one of those thick mechanical graphite pens and some of the sepia-colored leads. I absolutely love sketching with it! It was surprising how versatile it is: I do not expect to be able to draw thinner lines on top of the thick flat ones with it. It is definitely going into my standard toolbox! The sketches were done without reference photos this time.

I am back! And here is another page from my mini sketchbook. I am starting to enjoy this one a lot more than the bigger one. Next to work, doing the @psychoSoph and other live stuff, it is sometimes difficult to find time to fill bigger pages. The small format fits me very well at the moment.

I wanted to try how sketches that are colored with the Tombow brush pens look when I draw them with the thin XS Faber Castell artist PITT pen that I normally use. The thick pen in size S looks better in my opinion and gives the drawings a lot more life. What do you think?

I am having a lot of fun with these Tombow brush pens at the moment. Unfortunately, the ink smudged a little bit, although I paid attention to let it dry out first. But I am enjoying having some color in my inkwork for a change.
