Well I took my chances and.. they paid off! The seller didn't know if it worked, but all I had to do is plug it into a wall to find out 👀
This is a National (Panasonic) NV-MC5A, I believe sold in the late 80s?
I've yet to actually see if it can record or playback because I don't have any VHS-C tapes, but I should be getting some soon :> (and third party replacement batteries)

The first #ShittyCameraChallenge month is over. All my shitty Samsung WiFi cameras also have shitty displays, and why not create a collage of "Roses in the rain" from the shitty SH100, and photograph it with the Mavica FD92 for a triple-shitty art installation!?

At last an image from the 1.3MP Sony Mavica FD85 . Took me ages to find my old floppy drive (nothing is lost.Just hiding).
Here's a pic of a picture frame feat. our much missed cat giving us the look of usual max contempt and the legend "the difference between cats and dogs is that dogs come when called and cats take a message and get back to you".
The image in this frame was originally take on a Kodak 1.3MP DC240.

Today my Sony #Mavica FD-92 finally arrived! It was quite an adventure: I shopped it used from France, and it took exactly a month to negotiate with the seller, coordinate shipping, and to get it delivered (shipping only took 5 days)!
I blame the #FloppyDiskSquad for the inspiration, but especially @emsquared
It works like a charm (#1) and had a 0.5x converter bundled (#2).
Also here's some #Konqi (#3) and @tvpin (#4) 😀

Wasgij is a series of jigsaws where the picture on the box is NOT the picture on the puzzle. The box also gives you clues as to what's in the puzzle picture. Finished this week. -

A few shots fired off, before going to work's Christmas luncheon today. I'd gone into Topshots Photolab to pick up one of my films, and these were just down from where I'd parked the car. Given the Mavica was tagging along for the ride, I wasn't going to complain about the noise when opportunity knocked... -

Practising for the #ShittyCamaraChallenge #1990sCameraChallenge I thought it might be nice to see whether I could stitch together a couple of images from the Sony Mavica.
Images were straight out of the camera and stiched together with the phone app Bimostitch.
