2009 m pasaulis jau kraustėsi iš proto dėl iPhone 3GS ir HTC Hero, tad W995 tapo „gulbės giesme“ klasikiniams Sony Ericsson telefonams.

I miss those #Smartphones ... The #SonyEricsson M600 had a great hardware keyboard, #Symbian #UIQ was a great Operating System for it's time... Why does nobody adopt the source to make something new based on UIQ or s60 ?!

Приємно здивований точністю розмірів. Залишилось зробити частину корпусу під динамік і камеру (кнопки потім) і можна буде почати тестувати підключення і тип акумулятора(ів). Потім буде передня панель і клавіатура. #укркрафт #oldphones #sonyericsson #diy #retrophone

Зробив приблизний макет материнської плати для розробки основної частини корпуса. Після уточнення зроблю макет посадкового місця з фіксаторами, і спробую вставити туди власне плату, камеру і аудіо блок. Remember when phones had personality? When weren't they all black rectangles with 5 cameras on the back? Many years ago I had this #SonyEricsson, the W580i, it was simply great, it had a built-in #Walkman, a fairly powerful speaker in the center of the directional pad, motion sensors to measure your steps n calories burned, MusicID, polyphonic ringtones, customizable themes, also a removable battery and 12mb of internal memory expandable up to a staggering 4GB, lol. #retrophone
