I made an app that lets you browse the internet on old phones without 2G/3G. BlueWAP is an app for #Nokia #SonyEricsson and other supported #J2ME devices that lets your phone browse WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) and basic HTML sites by connecting to a modern 4G/5G phone over Bluetooth.

Sony Ericsson K750i (2005)
The absolute king of mobile photography that completely changed the game. While built-in cameras existed before it, the K750i was the first device to prove that a phone could genuinely replace a standalone point-and-shoot digital camera.
ARM9 110 MHz processor, 34 MB internal memory, Memory Stick Duo slot, 1.8-inch TFT display, 176x220 resolution, 2 MP camera with autofocus, dual LED flash and mechanical lens cover, Bluetooth 1.2, Infrared, FM radio with RDS, 900 mAh Li-Po battery, dimensions 100x46x19.5mm, weight 99 g.
The brilliance of the K750i lay in its digital camera mimicry. Sliding down the active lens cover on the back instantly booted up the camera app, and the dedicated shutter button featured a two-stage press for autofocusing—a massive innovation for 2005. Its image quality was completely unmatched at the time.

Symbian 9.1 OS, 2.6" TFT su stylus lietimui jautrus ekranas (262K spalvų), 3.2 MP kamera su autofokusavimu, LED blykstė, video įrašymas, 208 MHz procesorius, 160 MB ROM, Memory Stick Micro lizdas (iki 4 GB), Wi-Fi 802.11b, Bluetooth 2.0, infraraudonųjų spindulių siųstuvas, 3G ryšys, 950 mAh baterija (iki 10 val. pokalbių, 440 val. budėjimo). Dydis – 106 x 55 x 17 mm, svoris 124 g.
Nors techniniai parametrai darė įspūdį, telefonas tilpo į pusę delno, tačiau net ir aukščiausios klasės funkcionalumas, įspūdingos specifikacijos negalėjo išgelbėti OS, kuri nebuvo pasirengusi jutiklinių ekranų ir atvirų ekosistemų revoliucijai.

Pues iba a liberar este Sony Ericsson Z310 que he reparado, que por suerte es de Movistar, y te dan el código gratis desde su web. Ya he liberado así varios móviles sin problema.
Pero he probado 2 veces el código que me han mandado, y no funciona. Ahora me quedan 3 intentos :blobcatgooglyholdingitsheadinitshands:

I miss those #Smartphones ... The #SonyEricsson M600 had a great hardware keyboard, #Symbian #UIQ was a great Operating System for it's time... Why does nobody adopt the source to make something new based on UIQ or s60 ?!

Приємно здивований точністю розмірів. Залишилось зробити частину корпусу під динамік і камеру (кнопки потім) і можна буде почати тестувати підключення і тип акумулятора(ів). Потім буде передня панель і клавіатура. #укркрафт #oldphones #sonyericsson #diy #retrophone

Зробив приблизний макет материнської плати для розробки основної частини корпуса. Після уточнення зроблю макет посадкового місця з фіксаторами, і спробую вставити туди власне плату, камеру і аудіо блок. I used to own this phone—one of my all-time favorites. The user experience wasn’t the best, maybe due to underpowered hardware or poor optimization, but the concept was absolutely brilliant.

Holy crap, I used to play sooo much with that application on my dad's Sony Ericsson!
Every melody in this track is such a time capsule, I swear I can replace this remastered version with the original samples in my head.
I wonder if I still have that phone stashed away somewhere...
