A Robin in the Castle Grounds

Two Screens, One Corner
The man on the corner had his phone in one hand and a child's white puffa coat over the other arm, which tells you roughly how the morning was going. Across the square a woman stood next to the brick wall in the same posture, head down, thumb moving. They weren't together, so the matching was just chance. Twenty years ago they'd have stood there bored. Nobody under that age remembers a world without mobile screens. My first one was the Samsung Galaxy S2. I loved that phone!

Number 9 had clearly decided that the racing could wait. I was wandering around at the Dingle Races and right in front of me this dark bay racehouse reared up on it's hind legs while the poor jocket and two men tried to calm the animal. The tower of St. Anne’s Church has recently been renovated but this photo is from 2022, when it was still gritty. It looks all shiny now but I think it looked better back then. The clock faces all got a nice lick of paint though which is welcome!...
