The fruit bit never fails to make me laugh.. A friend of mine keeps a round soap on her bookshelf that has a big bite mark in it from when her husband thought it was a candy on their first date😂

After last Sunday''s show, a member of our extended #SonsOfTheDesert family mentioned (over pizza at Bronco Billy's) Tepco Beach in #RichmondCA. Way back before environmental laws, a ceramics manufacturer dumped extra or non-QA-passing pottery into the bay, and now there's a whole beach of broken and sea-worn old plates and mugs. We went and checked it out. It makes a very nice sound when you walk on it.
If you want to find it, it's basically next to the Richmond Costco.
It's written up in Atlas Obscura: https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/tepco-beach

... and the next day, the return of our Sunday Afternoon Laurel & Hardy Talkie Matinees, in collaboration with the Midnight Patrol Tent of the #SonsOfTheDesert
Laurel & Hardy / Our Gang Talkie Matinee
Sunday, July 9th 3:00pm
CHOO-CHOO (1933) Our Gang / Little Rascals with Livermore's Dorothy DeBorba. The gang switches places with some rich kids for a free train ride and mayhem ensues.
ANOTHER FINE MESS (1930) Laurel & Hardy with James Finlayson. When Col. Buckshot and his house staff go on vacation, Stan and Ollie take refuge in the empty mansion only to be mistaken for the legitimate occupants.
TWO TOO YOUNG (1936) Our Gang / Little Rascals Spanky and Alfalfa think that Buckwheat and Porky are too young to be playing with firecrackers and confiscate them. The youngsters then seek revenge.
MIDNIGHT PATROL (1933) Laurel & Hardy with Charlie Hall. Stan and Ollie as two inept cops - need we say more? Nah. You know it'll be a fun flick. All films from the Hal Roach studio.

Calling all Bay Area #SilentFilm fans: Our Museum is looking for volunteers! We're hoping to get back to our pre-pandemic weekly shows, and that's going to take a few more people. We' also want to relaunch the collaboration with the Midnight Patrol Tent of the #SonsOfTheDesert (quickly checking spelling of 🏜️ vs 🍨 here...) and restart the once-a-month Sunday-afternoon matinees with #LaurelAndHardy talkies. Our museum is a fun place! And if you've ever dreamed of being "in the moving picture business", here's your chance!
