"'How Great Thou Art'" is a Christian #hymn based on a #Swedish hymn entitled "O Store Gud" ( #eng: "Oh Great God") written in 1885 by Swedish poet and minister #CarlBoberg. The English version of the hymn and its title are a loose translation from 1949 by English missionary Stuart K. Hine. The hymn was popularised by #GeorgeBeverlyShea and #CliffBarrows during #BillyGrahamsCrusades. It was voted the British public's favourite hymn by #BBC's #SongsOfPraise.

Back in the #SongsOfPraise days, that'd be a week of us sending in suggestions for a "special" show. Followed in a couple of weeks by a "best covers ever" show (finishing, obviously, with Johnny Cash's 'Hurt'), or a "90s only" show, or an "alphabet" one (start with an act whose name starts with 'A', finish with ZZ Top!)
Now? Imagine Dragons, Blink 182 and Coldplay. /sigh
