Another #TuneTuesday - this week's theme is #SongShouldBeAMovie which is super interesting.

My submission is Cult of Luna's 'Cygnus', the closing track off their Mariner record from 2016 (wow, 7 years already!).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVdHw4fskj4

I always get 2001: A Space Odyssey vibes whenever I give this track a listen - it's easy to imagine a spaceship journeying through the vast emptiness of space in search of some new discovery.

Throughout the track there's huge blasts of activity that signal the wild events that happen out there in the universe, but also almost-silent periods of peace inbetween that I always associate with the empty near-vacuum between the stars.

Enjoy!

this week's #tunetuesday is #songshouldbeamovie.

I can imagine a combination of romance, drama, and musical with a lot of sex idk. https://open.spotify.com/track/3FtYbEfBqAlGO46NUDQSAt?si=d0b6462269b94b2d

Took a while to pick one, I do love story songs. I would love to see this heart-warming queer pagan holiday movie.

Another one for the #TuneTuesday theme of #SongShouldBeAMovie , a band whose songs sound like they should have had at least 2 or 3 Bond films anyway . The video for this is quite weird anyway but a movie based on the lyrics could be a pretty intense one . Portishead: All Mine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvFY2Stxlzc

Into The Void by Black Sabbath. Peace and love type hippies build a rocket to leave a polluted and war-torn earth Earth, and build their ideal space-commune.

I was tempted to post 20 Minutes Of Oxygen by The Darkest Of The Hillside Thickets, or Detachable Penis by King Missile, but their music videos are already short films that don't need to be stretched out to movie length.

This week's #TuneTuesday from @Kitty has a theme of #SongShouldBeAMovie by @TG_Esq.

Now, I'm sure other people will have some serious takes with some fun storytelling in songs.

I'm going silly.

Outkast (Andre 3000) with Dracula's Wedding featuring Kelis. https://songwhip.com/outkast/draculas-wedding

Imagine a goofy horror comedy about Dracula being nervous on his wedding day to a woman he recently turned. It could be gold.

I can't resist joining in on the #TuneTuesday and #SongShouldBeAMovie courtesy of @Kitty ! This is SOARS a solo project by a member of pg.lost & Cult of Luna. I can't stress enough how good he is at what he does.

#TuneTuesday theme: #SongShouldBeAMovie

Basically every B.A.P song should be a movie...and their music videos are basically mini movies anyway, it was honestly difficult to pick one. lol.

For #TuneTuesday, #SongShouldBeAMovie

I don't do Tuesdays usually, but this theme gives me a reason to. So, I've been a fan of this band since back in the MySpace days, and this album has several songs that fit together to craft a narrative story in a way I'm really into. The album is "In Pursuit of Tomorrow" by Throw The Fight, one of my all-time favorites.

Please listen through it with it in mind that at least some of the songs are picking up where the last one left off. This is especially obvious in "His Blood, My Hands", and "The Wreckage", which are directly sequential and tell a horrifying story together.

Happy #TuneTuesday, #Fediverse!

Another great theme from @Kitty’s pot, #SongShouldBeAMovie by @TG_Esq

Iron Maiden - Dance of Death

I’d love to see what Guillermo Del Toro would do with this 🖤

My suggestion for #TuneTuesday #SongShouldBeAMovie

Slumlord by Baxter Dury

- as with all his stuff, there's a character at the heart of the song. The lyrics are sparse, but there's definitely a whole film here.

Also I'm at a Baxter Dury gig this very evening. Excited :)

The best #SongShouldBeAMovie I get get is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpqm-05R2Jk

Which is simply, one of the great music videos ever. You NEED to watch to the very end.

I love story songs. Here are two by Joe Ely that would make great movies.

Back for #TuneTuesday and another #SongShouldBeAMovie:

The Awful Ache, by The Church

https://song.link/au/i/1446695025

This movie is of course about Esmerelda, the moods in the imagery, the jangling guitar pop and darker interludes in 3/4.

And it is for this verse, which breaks my heart every time:

"Esmerelda walks on down to the cemet'ry
And he's waiting for her in the shade
With the angels and the sad old trees, patiently
But she walks right past his grave"

#TheChurch

Another #TuneTuesday #SongShouldBeAMovie is the story of Simo Häyhä in this case as sung by Tailgunner: White Death https://yt.artemislena.eu/watch?v=_dOviG1BpGw

@Kitty 's themeomatic 200 tin has distributed @TG_Esq 's theme of #SongShouldBeAMovie for this week's #TuneTuesday . I tried to think of stuff that was pre MTV or didn't already have a music video . A song that seemed just right for this is . Jimi Hendrix: All Along The Watchtower. Where is this Watchtower, who are the 2 riders approaching ?? It definitely needs to be a movie https://yt.artemislena.eu/watch?v=TLV4_xaYynY

It's #TuneTuesday with #SongShouldBeAMovie
so songs/albums that should be made into a movie, I know several that come from them, but wanting something made into one is kinda hard.
My pick will be the album made by Blind Guardian Twilight Orchestra named "Legacy of the Dark Lands":

So I am out of the #TuneTuesday tin with #SongShouldBeAMovie.

My nomination is Brian Eno's In Dark Trees:
https://song.link/au/i/724357851

When I listen to this track, I can see the movie in my head... it is night... a car drives past on a lonely road, and its headlights are gone... there is a threatening atmosphere. I am feeling uneasy, but safer out here alone in the dark.

Thank you @Kitty for hosting, as always!

Ohhh ... what a cool theme for today's #TuneTuesday .. it's #SongShouldBeAMovie (and you can include albums too).

This is an easy one .. it has to be BTS's original RUN

BTS (방탄소년단) 'RUN' Official MV
https://youtu.be/wKysONrSmew

(Disclaimer: I admit I'm sorta cheating, because this track is a fairly major part of the transmedia storytelling extravanza that is the Bangtan Universe.)

Thanks to @TG_Esq for the theme and @Kitty for coordinating the fun!

#BTS #Transmedia #KPop

A really intriguing theme, the one chosen by @TG_Esq for this #TuneTuesday.

It's #SongShouldBeAMovie, and involves albums too.

Thank you @Kitty !

So, let's go with a concept album, from one of my favorite bands.

This is from Nevermore, where is told a story inspired by Warrel Dane's disappeared girlfriend: captured and brainwashed by a religious cult and never seen again.

Nevermore - Dreaming Neon Black
https://songwhip.com/nevermore/dreaming-neon-black

This is not exactly a #SongShouldBeAMovie cause it is a full album. But my mind was triggered automatically when I saw today's #TuneTuesday topic by @Kitty and @TG_Esq

This is classic though so I bet you all know it. Nevertheless, enjoy this masterpiece:
