About the death of John Lennon; it never says so, but does call the killer an insect…Contra many lyrics sites, it's not "tears," people; he weeded out the TIERS. In, you know, a garden?

Love this anthem about life at 17 in a tough town in the NE of England. Here's a great live version in front of hundreds of blitzed kids that know every word and are literally jumping for joy. What happens when he thinks the song is done is pure nuts magic:
