#Somfy fait (enfin) une mise à jour de son application Somfy Protect.
Pas de nouvelles fonctionnalités, en revanche le design devient cohérent avec l'app Tahoma.

Disponible dès aujourd'hui !

I dag fikk vi installert #solskjerming. Vi bor i leilighet, og fasaden skal være lik, så fikk vi ikke velge leverandør. Etter noen timer med installering var #somfy på plass. Proprietær protokoll og egen hub. Aiaiai. Heldigvis har hub'en (tahoma-switch) et lokalt API, som er godt støttet i #homeassistant (via Overkiz integrasjonen). Med lokal API og huben brannmuret inne, så er jeg fornøyd. Hipp hurra for solskjerming til sommern!

Oh great I bought the #Somfy Tahoma box last year because I can control shades etc. via a local API using #HomeAssistant.

The box was auto-updated last night, which entirely broke the local API.

Can’t downgrade.. So I need to use the Cloud API for now to keep the #automation working.

I wrote a while back about how bad Somfi’s home automation solution was. Of course they managed to make it worse: the only functional integration was IFTTT, they will discontinue it. Bought a #Somfy TaHoma Switch to be able to control some window covers, lighting and even #Velux shutters.

Via the #HomeAssistant overkiz integration and the TaHoma developer mode all these devices can be controlled via local APIs. No cloud required.

Besides the usual automations I thought about expanding the terrace awning when PV power is high.

Btw. HomeAssistant integration is much more powerful than the #HomeKit one.

Thinking about buying a KIG 300 Velux Gateway for controlling our covers with #HomeAssistent. Also supports #Somfy and does not need any cloud account or server.

Si quelqu'un a déjà intégré un #Somfy Connectivity kit à #HomeAssistant, je suis preneur de conseil, car je galère. Je suis d'abord passé par #AppleHome selon les écrits de @nicolasf dans son ouvrage sur la domotique, mais rien à faire ensuite pour le mettre dans Home Assistant. L'intégration #Overkiz qui semble officielle pour Somfy, bien que précisant qu'elle gère bien ce boitier dans la doc #HA, ne liste pas ce boitier dans le paramétrage. Du coup, j'aurais tendance à penser que ce n'est pas compatible, donc la doc serait fausse ? Une idée ?

Mein #Somfy Thermostat heizt trotz 10 K über Ziel einfach weiter, und jetzt hänge ich seit 20 Minuten in einer Warteschleife deren Ansage sich alle 10 Sekunden wiederholt 🙈

Washing machine and dryer alerts have been a hit (even if the "yo, shit's wet" notification that popped up on the tv in the middle of an emotional scene in The Batman kinda threw the mood a bit).

"Coffee's ready" alerts need a little recalibrating. The #Aqara temp sensor is great, but my naive algorithm for detecting the right amount of temperature and humidity change from the moka pot is firing them off a bit early.

Done a few custom HA dashboards, latest is one for adjusting the lights via scenes and an automation and another fully replicates the remote controls for the 2 #nvidiashieldtv units.

Ordering some parts to #arduino up a remote for the #somfy blinds.

Off to IKEA this morning for a couple of #tradfri switches. A shame they don't do bayonet globes.

Still haven't figured out zone entry by phone Bluetooth signature. Coming soon hopefully
