Rusza kolejna edycja Sony World Photography Awards. Ogłoszono jurorów i terminy na 2026 rok
World Photography Organisation i Sony oficjalnie rozpoczęły 19. edycję prestiżowego konkursu fotograficznego Sony World Photography Awards.
Ujawniono skład tegorocznego jury, w którym ponownie kluczową rolę odegra Monica Allende, a także podano kluczowe daty, w tym termin nadsyłania prac i termin przyszłorocznej wystawy w Londynie.
Kasia Stręk z Polski laureatką nagrody „Zrównoważony rozwój” Sony World Photography Awards 2025
Najważniejszą informacją jest ogłoszenie składu jury, które oceni prace nadesłane z całego świata. Na czele panelu oceniającego zgłoszenia w konkursie profesjonalnym, już po raz trzeci z rzędu, stanie niezależna kuratorka Monica Allende. Będzie ona również odpowiedzialna za kształt wystawy pokonkursowej w londyńskim Somerset House. W jury poszczególnych kategorii zasiądą również inni eksperci z branży, m.in. Ruby Rees-Sheridan (National Portrait Gallery, Wielka Brytania), która oceni konkurs otwarty i młodzieżowy, oraz Tess Raimbeau (dziennik „Libération”, Francja), która będzie jurorką w konkursie studenckim.
Dla fotografów kluczowe są terminy nadsyłania zgłoszeń, które są bezpłatne. W zależności od kategorii, prace można składać do:
- 28 listopada 2025 r. (konkurs studencki),
- 6 stycznia 2026 r. (konkurs otwarty i młodzieżowy),
- 13 stycznia 2026 r. (konkurs profesjonalny).
Organizatorzy podkreślają skalę wydarzenia, przypominając, że w poprzedniej edycji na konkurs nadesłano ponad 419 tysięcy zdjęć.
Na zwycięzców czekają atrakcyjne nagrody. Oprócz sprzętu fotograficznego marki Sony, przewidziano nagrody pieniężne: 25 000 dolarów dla zdobywcy tytułu Fotografa Roku oraz 5 000 dolarów dla Fotografa Roku w konkursie otwartym. Prace laureatów i finalistów zostaną zaprezentowane podczas corocznej wystawy w Somerset House w Londynie.
Wystawa Sony World Photography Awards 2026 odbędzie się w dniach od 17 kwietnia do 4 maja 2026 roku. Zwiedzający będą mogli zobaczyć nie tylko nagrodzone prace z najnowszej edycji, ale także specjalną prezentację Fotografa Roku 2025, Zeda Nelsona. Warto dodać, że wciąż trwa objazdowa wystawa prac z edycji 2025 – po Mediolanie, od 16 października będzie ją można oglądać w Berlinie.

The Nelson #staircase is one of the best know features of #SomersetHouse. Part of it was used as the hq of the Royal Navy when it was built.I like the shadows here.

On the tour of #SomersetHouse, they take you down to the light wells that run round the buildings that face the inner square. They provided light for the early offices and now get used as film locations for Victorian alleys.

I recently went on a tour of #SomersetHouse - a #Georgian building built as government offices and now an arts/cultural centre. It has fantastic staircases.

St Mary Le Strand church on the Aldwych in infrared.

I went to the Sony World Photography exhibition this week (highly recommended) and thought I should at least take a Sony A-mount lens, even if it's a Minolta that probably predates the Sony takeover. So here's a 590nm infrared shot of Somerset House taken with the Minolta 24mm f2.8 on my full spectrum Sony A7ii.
The IR makes everyone look like a cult member.
