M104 is my favourite galaxy!
So very photogenic with its distinct dust lane around the central bulge of stars, hanging in space like a small pendant - or a Sombrero apparently. Sombrero galaxy produce less than one solar mass of stars per year. Even the supermassive #blackhole, also known as an active galactic nucleus, at the center of the Sombrero galaxy is rather docile, even at a hefty 9-billion-solar masses.
