#Upcoming Thai master musician #SombatSimla is known as one of the greatest living players of the khene, an ancient bamboo mouth organ found throughout East and Southeast Asia. The pentatonic scales and rhythmic chug of many of the pieces can have surprising echoes of the rawest American blues. Recorded by Japanese sound artist and ethnographer #YasuhiroMorinaga.
