135 MM was dream focal length to shoot until I use one with a crop sensor. It says Tele-Auto but nothing is auto about it. It's way more harder to shoot with on a digital than on film. On my Nikon F601 at least the expose meter is working. On D50 I have guess the shutter speed.

Bleeping cranes! And I don't mean of the avian variety, I'd be fine with those :ablobcatgrumpy: They make it look like the sunset was under construction!!
Coincidentally, taking these shots made me realize that maybe having red accentuation selected for the focus peaking isn't the smartest of choices of mine when there's so much natural fringing in red going on in the scene I'm shooting heh.

Japanese navy? Nah, just an #OpticalIllusion! Or is that what they'd want us to think?? 🙄 The second image shows #sunspots better. Taken seconds apart. Today's #sunset produced a bit cleaner red hues, the air seems cleaner, too.

Three faces of the same #sunset, at 50, 100 and 600mm, recpectively (might not be uploaded and displayed in that order).
The colours in these images were obtained with a custom RGB tone curve profile in Picture Style Editor. I'm including a screenshot of it. Colours themselves weren't changed (in the profile), albeit the mentioned custom profile is based on "Landscape" one that Canon cameras have built-in and I do find the latter to not be linear about it on the colour wheel. But, the posted photos are, technically, straight out of cam! As meaningful as that is with digital cameras 😜

Windowsill moth #orchid (Phalaenopsis) and christmas #cactus (Schlumbergera) are both blooming in white at the same time. The latter clearly didn't get the memo Christmas was over a month ago!
Lenses used were #Nikon E 100mm f/2.8 and #Soligor C/D 60-300mm f/4-5.6 MC, both with attached #Vivitar MC7 2x Macro Focusing #teleconverter on a #Canon body with #Godox X2T in control of two external V860II #flash guns (both with a white diffuser attached).

Found this retro lens today at my local photo shop. It's a #Soligor 500mm/F8 mirror tele, and it was really cheap. With a M42 adaptor, it fits my #FujifilmXT2.
