Solder Party’s KeebDeck is a cheap, open source 69-key thumb keyboard

A few years ago Solder Party started selling tiny USB keyboards made by combining an actual BlackBerry keyboard (ripped from an old device) with a custom PCB and USB-C connector. I have this lovely #Keyboard #Featherwing from (before there was) #solderparty and its previously worked but now, well now, it feels like the display backlight has just died and not sure what to do about it? Replace LCD? It doesn’t seem to pass tests (says SDA on I2C is busy) This is with a #UnexpecteMaker FeatherS2 - am I missing something obvious?

@davedarko go look at labels on any M5Stack product for really good layout ideas for hardware references.

@arturo182 uses QR on #SolderParty PCBs to link to more detailed network hosted info.

If possible make pages something like Julia Evans (b0rk) layout for SW type stuff.

Great idea, been thinking about this for a while. Hadn't thought of using simple multi page piece of paper due to failing vision. Who cares if it gets lost, print another. Easy to update.

Upgraded #KeyboardFeatherWing (#SolderParty) to Revision 2. Upgraded #circuitpython to 7.1 on my two #FeatherS2 ( #unexpectedmaker ) and updated/fixed my old code from 6.3.
I will put one (and a #Serpente) in my backpack … ready for vacation 😇
