Insbesondere in der Lokalpolitikt, weil tatsächlich sich die Erneuerbaren Energien oft lohnen um die allzu maroden Finanzen des Ortes aufzubessern. 🙀 -

Lo sai che in provincia di varese c’era un posto abbandonato e in mano alle istituzioni, lasciato a marcire, alla autodistruzione, usato per diverse speculazioni documentate, un enorme aborto urbano circondato dal verde. A slightly awkward subject, while I don't see myself as a prepper some of the #solarpunk elements make you think about the what ifs. I was thinking recently that if there was an issue where I lived (middle of the UK - climate, war, totalitarian government) and my family and I had to migrate north we don't actually know anyone in Scotland who we could aim for, there isn't someone who you'd go towards who would be the safe haven.
There is a wonderful community on mastodon of #solarpunks and i hope it would be possible to reach out to someone at the time (if the system was online) but mastodon itself isn't really secure enough to share those details. Also how do you reduce the risk of scams/traps/abuse.
I guess Im thought experimenting the real life challenges that the millions of refugees experience everyday and that this single element must be terrifying and I fully realise how privileged I am to only have to think about it.

Liebe #Solarpunks, unsere "Freunde", die fossilen #Sturmtruppen & #Putinknechte, haben ein ganz peinliches Problem: Es gibt, auch in diesen Tagen, auch heute, zuviel (!) #Ökostrom aus #Wind & vor allem aus #Sonne in Deutschland! An immer mehr Strombörsen werden sogar "negative #Strompreise" gezahlt - also Geld für diejenigen, die den Überschuss abnehmen.

Y'all, I just found this very cool app that monitors air quality using citizen science sourced from a variety of different places. It seems to only be available for iPhones, which is a device I do not have, so I can't speak to how good it is, but it definitely seems to be another tool for the #solarpunk toolbelt of community care and knowledge. Anyone have experience with LocalHaze? Let us know! Has it been helpful to you this summer?

Hey y'all! I'm Andre AKA #HydroponicTrash. I'm a hacker, a gardener, and an online weirdo who does #DIY projects and writes speculative #solarpunk fiction and nonfiction.
Been mainly on Twitter and TikTok on the same handle, but decided to jump full-on into the fediverse. They range from building DIY, autonomous solar power stations, building community microgrids from renewable energy, and building autonomous communication and internet systems. It depends whether you want them to be human or a robot/algorithm.This week someone comedian labelled #MaxKeiser as the #WillyWonka of #bitcoin, so your timing is impeccable haha.
Was #NicolaTesla reclusive, if so maybe mixing his character with a MaxKeiser would be interesting if you were going for a more human character.
You could have two competing #solarpunks, vying for dominance, an AI based one that behave like Elon and a human one that is a bit more grounded.
