Upgrade to #GPLv4?

Nothing wrong with #GPLv3, but I feel it does need to be updated to specifically make it unlawful to put the code on any repository owned or operated by an entity that is engaging in software theft (eg. Micros(ha)ft servers). That means no code on git-hub(dot) com.... includes forks and mirrors obviously.

Microsoft supports #softwareTheft via their so-called "ai".

(NOTE: The new license wouldn't need to add anything about "AI" because the existing license is clear, but it probably should explicitly name micros(ha)ft as barred for the sake of clarity.)

MINI RANT TIME.... #openSource is the hashtag to use when bending over and want to serve the #corporateState.... it could probably be labelled, #openWide or #openSeason, take ur pick.

#FOSS is the hashtag to use when you care about #freedom. Some other good ones are #Libre and #copyleft

Gitlab is also quite nasty as it requires javascript to browse a repository, and its official service (gitlab.com) is via cloudflare, Avoid using for anything other than backup/#collateralFreedom.

Do not #Copyleft licences, like #GPLv3, work by ensuring that **any** software that includes the FOSS code be #FOSS also?

What the above describes is #softwareTheft, right?

For example #MastodonDevs by allowing #HellaDoge to not provide source code for years, with a notification of such by us, are allowing software #theft, right?

Sebastian has a good point here, @fsf, please use inclusive language, like Fediverse.

On the topic of #Mastodon however we would like someone to address the fact that Mastodon folk appear to be actively ignoring repeated calls for "#memecoin" operation (#helladoge.com) to be served a compliance notice for their #softwareTheft of the AGPLv3 code.

That site is a bad violator of the licence and should be taken down immediately or made to comply.

Its even worse, reports are saying the #TruthSocial will be using #Mastodon code without being #openSource as the #AGPLv3 dictates it must!

This is #softwareTheft, and if this happens will highlight how rotten to its core, the #USA really is.

The only large scale media outlet that published Trump's #Mastodon #softwareTheft was #MSN/#MSNBC.

(Btw, it's nice for us to find today that #YahooNews reported it, too. As a #mediaOutlet, they seem to be improving, having reported the #assasinationPlot against #Assange recently also.)

The theft highlights a grave #hypocrisy and should be widely known. Its incumbent on us to get the world out — to "be the media, we want to see in the world".

You'll find extra info at a few bespoke tech news sites, iwrc theVerge reported it, and a couple others.

Almost no mainstream media outlets reported that the former President stole code. Not even #ABCNews (#Australian), nor #TheGuardian, who love to dish the dirt on Trump. Almost no legacyMedia outlet bothered to reported the #softwareTheft despite giving freeAdvertising to #TruthSocial the previous day.

LEGACY MEDIA: Something about crickets (its not convenient to bash Trump when he steals software they can't talk about, of a type (#copyleft) they can't talk about.)

REALITY: The Trump team probably would be working overtime to make the site look different, while still keeping backend the same.
