Donald Trump is, once again, on display this morning, in all his immature, rambling incoherent, braggadocious, spendor-- bragging like a school bully.
The only ones more shameful are the ones standing by, who see what he is and take no action against him.

As state taxes are deductible from federal taxes, wouldn’t a state universal health care tax be tax deductible too?

As health insurance premiums can be pre-federal income tax deductions, blue states should form a universal health care alliance and withhold our tax money from the federal government to fund a universal program.

Misspeak or not, a Governor who sees California not merely as one of 50 states underneath a powerful federal Government, but as the Republic of California deserving maximal autonomy would win me over.
As Trump and MAGAs treat us like garbage, I want to see maximal autonomy for California, Pacifica, and the other blue states.

Instead of running for President to put duck tape on an old system to try and patch it up to make it work, I would prefer blue state Governors form an alliance and take collective action before 2029.
Set up a universal health care compact, an infrastructure bank, an Emergency Management Collective that Trump and MAGAs don’t and can’t control.
We haven’t had FDR/LBJ sized federal trifectas in six decades. It is time for a different strategy.

Given what personnel shortages exist in the U.S. healthcare system, maybe CA and NY could offer generous relocation packages and signing bonuses to doctors, nurses, and lab techs who wish to relocate from red states?

@xankarn #softsecession is a workaround, not a solution. It certainly doesn’t mean the end of the #fascist takeover. Once the military becomes fully indoctrinated, the soft succession states will be under seige. They already are.

I've been posting here about #taxresistance and other approaches to #softsecession
MAGA makes plain that it doesn't represent those whose political views differ from the president's and, in fact, POTUS has said explicitly and repeatedly that his govt is fighting a war against the enemy within.
There is no longer any moral basis to this government's claim on our sovereignty.
As long as this usurpation continues, we must resolve to #defundfascism in whatever ways possible.
