I'm delighted to announce that we're officially running a new PhD course on #Degrowth and #Socioecological #Justice early next year at the University of Copenhagen! It will involve students and faculty from across all six faculties of UCPH, and each session will also include a representative from a civil society group or movement currently pushing for socioecological justice.

“The future of degrowth: Decolonizing more than the imaginary” by Dr. Brototi Roy (Central European University, Vienna)
In recent years, degrowth has sparked multiple discussions, analyses and actions on repoliticizing the debate for socio-ecological justice and equity. Since the beginning of the movement as an activist slogan, there have been calls for decolonizing the imaginary. In this talk, Dr. Roy will engage with the idea of how can this decolonization be more material.

Our sister group "#Degrowth #Copenhagen" is organizing a panel event on "Alternatives to #Capitalism: Towards a Socio-Ecological Transformation".
The event is open to everyone who wants to learn more about #socioecological transformation and explore innovative ways to address the #environmental and social issues we face today.
Three female panelists will provide a fresh perspective on capitalism and share their knowledge on alternative models that prioritize #sustainability, #SocialJustice, and #equality.
