No, #Muslim #SocietiesAreNotHomogenous. They each have their own #selfInterest and agenda.
The striking extrapolation I drew from this is how things went full-cycle:
— #AlQaeda leaders helping #US fight #Soviet invasion of #Afghanistan in 1980s,
— to being US enemy number 1 after 9/11,
— back to helping #UAE fight US enemies in #Yemen & #RedSea.
And formation of a NEW cycle:
— #Houthi upturn following UAE #killingSpree
