How to make health systems climate-resilient? I am pleased to announce the first of two reports:

Healthcare System-of-Systems Vulnerability
https://doi.org/10.13140/RG.2.2.14807.23209

➡️ In this report, we assess health system vulnerabilities to climate change, and its dependencies on failures in supporting systems (energy, transport, digital, water, waste).

I am economist & political scientist (PhD) and conduct #research and #evaluation on #SocialRiskManagement #ClimateChange #GlobalDevelopment #SocialProtection #PublicHealth #CooperativeStudies.

My current focus is on the topics #ClimateChangeAdaptation, #DisasterRiskManagement, #RuralDevelopment, #HealthCareFinancing, #HealthSystem‎‎s.

#ResearchMethods: #MixedMethods & #MethodIntegration, #Quantitative & #Qualitative #Methods, #RigorousImpactEvaluation, #Causality, #Econometrics.

Behind the Paper "Developing countries can adapt to climate change effectively using nature-based solutions"

#Naturebased solutions (#NbS) are effectively contributing to #climatechange #adaptation, producing multiple co-benefits among #climaterisk related and broader development outcomes. Policy makers should expand funding for NbS when dealing with shocks and stressors and increasing adaptive capacities.

What are residual climate risks?

'#Residual #climate #risks' are defined as those #ClimateRisks that remain after risks have been reduced through #mitigation and #adaptation (IPCC, 2019).
