The Autscape Programme Team received an abundance of high quality proposals. We have included as many as possible in the programme, and we hope that those who did not fit in this time will not be discouraged but consider proposing again for future events.

As we wait for final confirmations to publish the whole programme and launch registration, we would like to introduce our guest from Australia, Dr Sharon Zivkovic.

Sharon is an autistic social entrepreneur and systems thinker. Her social enterprise Community Capacity Builders established a Centre for Autistic Social Entrepreneurship in 2023. This Centre piloted a Program for Autistic Innovators, Systemisers and Social Entrepreneurs in 2025, providing autistic individuals with the knowledge and skills to use their innate autistic ways of thinking for the creation of social innovations, to systemise social innovations, and establish social enterprises.

Sharon will tell us about this three-part programme on Saturday, 7th Feb, starting 11 am GMT.

Dia dhuit folks! Carraig Dulra is a #socialenterprise on a small #organic #permaculture farm in County #Wicklow Mike & Suzie Cahn set it up in 2007.

Our core focus is community, #sustainability and #socialjustice, often using #permaculturedesign as a tool.

We do community outreach projects, host #homeschool and #forestschool groups, run #permaculture design certificate courses #pdc every year. In fact, this is our 10 year anniversary of our PDC.

It's great to see the Scottish Government taking a strong lead on developing a community wealth building approach.

If done right this could really transform local communities across Scotland and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to contribute.

Will be interesting to watch how this progresses.

@kaiyou the same thing happened to previous generations, with TV broadcasting, and before that radio broadcasting. They started as DIY media that anyone could use cheaply for public speech, and ended up as commodities dominated by an ever smaller number of giant corporations. So at root, the for-profit corporation is the medium we need to come up with radical alternatives to, like #SocialEnterprise and #PlatformCooperativism

I agree with you that taking corporate money through the back door, via philanthropic or governments grants, isn't really a solution either. This is why folks are experimenting with stuff like #SocialEnterprise, #MicroPatronage models, crypto-token donations etc
