While the traditional loop of killing monsters and hoarding gold is certainly a choice, those interested in the radical concept of actually changing their game world might find these systems for societal evolution more useful.

Psychosocial Lens: It uses the "Studies in the Psychosocial" framework, meaning it treats society like a patient on a couch, analyzing the hidden traumas of the Pinochet era that never truly healed.

The "Rebel" Element: It explores how "rebellion" becomes a way for individuals to reclaim their own agency from a system that treats them like data points or debt-cycles.

    Key Highlights:

Beyond the Surface: While news reports focused on the burning subway stations, this book interrogates the desire behind the destruction. It asks: What were people actually trying to "break out" of?

  7. The Core Thesis: Why did it "Burst"?

Sánchez isn't just looking at the economics of the 30-peso fare hike. He is looking at the "Unconscious" of the Chilean people. He argues that the Estallido wasn't just a political disagreement; it was a collective psychological eruption against decades of "neoliberal subjectivity"—the feeling of being turned into a "zombie" consumer rather than a human citizen.

  8. A Rebel Unconscious: Interrogating the Desire for Social Change in Chile’s Estallido by Gustavo Sánchez, 2026

This book offers a novel approach to social change by challenging conventional views of the emancipatory nature of political movements. Focusing on the 2019 Chilean revolt, it empirically demonstrates the contradictory ways in which socially desirable experiences are unconsciously organised.

Some Lessons from the Movement in the US Against the #Vietnam War

In the past year, millions in the US have protested Washington’s attacks on democratic rights, #ICE terror, and imperialist war. Among them are many young people, alongside others who have never before taken to the streets.

These activists are testing strategies and tactics and debating how to push back #Trump’s march toward one-man rule. Many of the questions they face have been posed before, perhaps most notably during the anti- #VietnamWar movement in the #US in the 1960s and early ’70s.

As the #war escalated and opposition broadened, discussion flourished over how to build the movement. Debates often centered on the effectiveness of “#DirectAction,” or #CivilDisobedience, vs. mass marches and rallies, and on the demands promoted in these actions.

  22. We’ve spent decades designing systems - institutions, platforms, cultures - that reward endurance over adaptation.

Then we are surprised when they crack under pressure.

Resilience is not about holding everything together by force. It is about building things that can adapt, respond, and repair.

Maybe the question isn’t how strong we are. It is how well what surrounds us is designed to hold us when we’re not.

  27. An Introduction to Radical Routes

    At Sumac Centre, #Nottingham

    Friday March 27th @ 1pm

    Interested in #Cooperatives?

Interested in working for radical positive #socialchange?

Radical Routes is a network of radical housing co-ops, workers co-ops and social centres. Their members are committed to working for positive social change.

Social Centres, such as #SumacCentre, have a strong past history of mutual support with Radical Routes but, for reasons to be explored on Friday, all have fallen aside. Sumac Centre is keen to rejoin Radical Routes to strengthen this bond, and maybe build a bridge with the Social Centres Network.

This session hopes to lead to a presentation by Sumac at the 15-17th May Radical Routes Gathering, before potentially joining in August.

If this interests you, join us at Sumac on Friday  27th March . Lunch at 1pm, presentation from 1.30pm.

  31. CW: change the system, not just the rhetoric.

🎧 New #RevolutionNow podcast ep 58 drops the #IntegralWhitePaper & exposes the “Marxism” mirage. Joseph argues that market prices fail, vague ideologies hide real problems, and a cyber‑netic, post‑market system is needed. Listen & rethink systemic change!

    Episode webpage: revolutionnow.podbean.com/e/re

    Quick Overview

Core focus: Introduction of the Integral White Paper, a technically‑grounded, cyber‑netic framework meant to replace market‑driven economics with a coordinated, post‑scarcity system.

Key critique: Terms like socialism, communism, Marxism are treated as monolithic “actors” that mask real systemic analysis. Joseph argues they are empty abstractions that deflect attention from concrete structural change.

Market failure argument: Market price mechanisms are shown to be inadequate for genuine ecological balance, democratic coordination, and efficient economic calculation.

    Integral proposal:

Five core subsystems (resource stewardship, collaborative value exchange, participatory governance, cyber‑netic feedback loops, and sustainability metrics).

Emphasis on human compatibility with cooperative structures rather than “human nature” myths.

Calls for structural redesign over ideological debate—change the system, not just the rhetoric.

Takeaway: To move beyond the “marriage of myth and capitalism,” we need a technically precise, system‑level alternative—the Integral model—rather than relying on vague left‑wing labels.
