Doing something to improve the state of local government funding would do a lot to make people’s lives better, but HMG seem utterly blind to this. And of course it would probably mean looking at the #SocialCareCrisis which is in the ‘too hard’ box.

BBC News report: Excess deaths in 2022 among worst in 50 years

After a 3 year hiatus, I received a letter yesterday inviting me to attend Eye Clinic later this month at a local general hospital. Given the situation with flu, COVID-19, scarlet fever, etc., I’m astonished that mask-wearing is not mentioned at all. The only warnings are that non-attendance will result in discharge and automated reminder alerts will be sent. 😡
