Recently I've stumbled upon a kinda bold statement from @kev about the (or only his?) definition of what that so called Social Network really are or not.

I can't recall correctly where exactly on his Website or inside the Comments I've stumbled upon that particular Statement of him but that's not the important part.

Imagine every person that has an account on one of the big platforms would instead own a Blog and all of those just by commenting would link to each other. What a WorldWideWeb that would be... 😃
It's a thoughtful concept he's stating and I'll strongly agree with it! 😁

Thoughts on Xitter
I (sadly) still see people posting links to X here on Mastodon, even if their intentions are good. For example, if someone is trying to draw attention to something terrible posted over on Xitter, or to share an important news story that they happened to read there. (First of all though, why are they *still* using Xitter?)
ANYWAY… even if you have the best of intentions, please stop driving traffic over to Xitter! All you need to do is either grab a screenshot and post it here, or copy the link to the *actual* story that was posted on Xitter and post *that* here.
You can still draw attention to things that were posted on Xitter without having to drive traffic there, nor drive traffic *through* there to the actual desired news site.
(P.S. This also applies to anything Meta. Let’s stop feeding those beasts with traffic and links. That can be siphoned off, and we can still discuss them as needed without inadvertently helping bad actors.)
