Nearly a foot so far. Watching the maps, looking for a lull, so I can plow the yard (and my neighbors) them it should be ok til morning. I've been keeping the decks cleared and setting out seed and mealworms. This titmouse says " This snow is for the birds!"

There's snow out there, going every which way (yes, including upwards, at least in some spots and on some occasions). Visibility is roughly 800 feet (245 meters), according to Google Maps' "measure distance" feature.

I'm actually thinking of putting on clothes and going out for a brief walk, just to see what it's like when it's all around me instead of on the other side of some windows.

#Snowpocalypse and #Snowmageddon are a little played out. I think we should just hijack #TheDayAfterTomorrow from Roland Emmerich.

It is a rare occurrence but it does eventually snow in #Houston, once or twice a decade or so. Only happens when there is just the right timing of a strong arctic front dipping far to the south with overriding moisture. This was one of those times, got about 3 inches (7.5 cm) of the fluffy stuff here on the north side of the metro area last night.
