  6. The Pseudoliparis snailfish probably owns the record for the deepest dwelling fish we as humans found so far! We stared into the abyss, in the crushing, cold hadal depths, and what stared back was a chubby tadpole child. And, enamoured, we drew it.

    Trivia: a couple days ago we have drawn a picture of the highest dwelling animal on Earth, the Himalayan jumping spider. These two pieces weren't planned to be connected and we drew them in the same week by chance, but that's a fun coincidence and it feels like they are now.
