It's device upgrade day! I'm upgrading all my synthy and samply devices #synths #sampler #SmplTrek

vi must have forgotten to share this one on the fediverse, though it is on funkwhale. Presenting Lorelai, created completely with my #SmplTrek sampler box. For this one i directly sampled old 78 and 33⅓ records found at my parents house (along with some extra samples). It was a really fun project and really neat to do without any computer assistance.

I have a huge sample library on my SmplTrek but nearly no drum kits yet. So I've been spending tonight putting together some kits and it's been fun!

Just updated my SmplTrek with firmware v1.2.86!

• Fixes possibly the biggest bug I encountered where faves would be lost and the browser would hang/crash a lot
• Adds up to 4 drum tracks??? That's kick-ass
• Previewing drum tracks from the browser and creating drums from a sliced sample! Also killer.
• Oh and the length of drum samples was doubled to >5s for mono and half for stereo ^_^

Excited to really try this out.

Another thing I feel is sorely missing from the SmplTrek is the ability to loop an entire project. Currently only scenes can be looped and that's a bit limiting.

Trying to figure out if controlling the whole thing via my Digitone and its superior Song mode might be more comfy.
