I woke up today and was greeted with a notification from an app I almost forgot about.

Today, I am officially one year #smokefree! That week a year ago, I decided I really wanted to try to quit cold turkey. A challenge indeed as I was a heavy smoker. Back then, the belief was strong that I would fail and therefore should not be too hard on myself if I fail - I was proven wrong :)

If you consider trying to quit, I can only encourage you. It is challenging, both mentally or physically, but it's worth it! After a couple of months, one feels so much better!

Nicotine device suffered a violent end due to my muscle twinges. Neighbor offered FREE cigarettes from their horde. Prefer to decline but becoming very tempting. Smoked 2 packs non-filters a day for 25 years. Really don't want to fall back.
