Smaugust! A Little Egret this time. as you might notice I've recycled the sketch and design form Purple heron since the anatomy si the same more or less. so did a little cheating and reused that one with a few tweekign around to still have some uniqueness on it and not be a complete re-color :)

@RepresentativeSample requested a capybara dragon for #smaugust. Hopefully a capybara + a dragon is close enough :)
My understanding is that once you meet a capybara you are automatically destined to be it's pal.

Next smaugust fella! this time using american robin as the design to dragon-fy. Tried avoiding too many bird liek features and pussing a little more towards the dragon features to avoid him looking too much like a gryphon instead ^^'

Ok I worked on this one way longer than planned but I love mixing realism with fantasy! Photo references only take you so far (I have access to hands and cups but alas, no dragons), but it's so much fun trying to expand an image, leaning on the light and colors and just adding stuff.
Anyway. Here's #Smaugust day 12: Porcelain. :)
