  6. Seems everyone is in love with Smartsheet. It apparently can do everything.

Suspiciously I check the developer documentation….

Its basically updated Lotus Notes but more spreatsheety and less databasey. 🤷‍♂️

  8. @isaaccp @nzakas Oh yeah, forgot I hate it when people fail to name-and-shame. It's #Smartsheet. And then once I finally got in, it turns out when a paid user invites you to comment, you can't comment with a free account, but it doesn't tell you that until you find an obscure FAQ. Screw you, Smartsheet.

  10. Honest to God, I just miss-typed "reviewing allocation of ShartSheet licenses" on a time log. Time to go to bed.

  11. My team has a new project. I wonder how we will track the tasks (WBS) for it? Luckily, Microsoft has us covered: Project Standard & Professional, Project Server, Project Online, Project Online Desktop Client, Project for the Web, Project Essentials, Roadmap, Planner, Teams Tasks by Planner and To Do (that's 1 app!), To Do, Outlook To-Do List, Outlook Follow Up on Email, OneNote To Do Tag, Azure Boards (DevOps). No single source of truth! #pmp #msproject #microsoft #smartsheet

  12. Despite committing to & subscribing to a paid #Todoist account & importing everything from #Omnifocus & using it exclusively it just doesn't *feel* right. It does everything I need but isn't engaging me enough to be enthusiastic.

I built my own work todo systems in #Clickup, in #Smartsheet and prior to those, for years successfully ran a modified #BulletJournal system. My only reason for saying no to Omnifocus is the total cost and I'd have to use the web interface on my work PC.

  13. @airfive A mix of things—Microsoft Project (which I don't recommend unless you already know it or are building a bridge), a lot of Microsoft 365 apps (#Teams, the classic Office apps, Power Automate for a bunch of reporting and communication stuff).

I am involved with a #Jira implementation now, and it seems to have some potential. I've also been playing around with #SmartSheet; it's very opinionated but does a lot of interesting stuff right out of the box.
