Ok so, #smartring that you fully control and ideally have some form of tactile control, go!

Have been toying with building my own using the tiniest MCU I can find, I don't honestly care if it's gigantic and ugly, I just want a few buttons on my finger that my thumb can access, and which I can program myself like any other Arduino project and send via BluetoothLE. Page up and down, volume, that kinda thing. possibly some midi fun.

Every time I look at rings on Ali and whatnot they do almost none of what I want while expending all their treasure on stuff I don't want. I don't want a screen or heart monitor, give me more battery and a few buttons and a fucking Arduino or CircuitPython interface. There's probably a good OSHW project out there...

I'm curious if anyone has had success with a no subscription #SmartRing?

I bought a #LunaRing 2 months ago and have had so many issues, I can't recommend it. Lots of software/app issues, which at least can get fixed over time, but now having battery issues, not even lasting 8 hours.

Już 6 stycznia oczy całego technologicznego świata zwrócą się na Las Vegas. Targi CES 2026 to tradycyjne otwarcie roku, ale tym razem gra toczy się o coś więcej niż tylko większe telewizory. Na horyzoncie widać „Agentic AI”, walkę o portfele graczy i… inwazję inteligentnych pierścieni.

Bazując na przeciekach z różnych źródeł, wyselekcjonowaliśmy 5 zapowiedzi, na które warto czekać najbardziej.

1. „Agentic AI” wchodzi do Twojego domu (dosłownie)

Pamiętacie, jak pisaliśmy o płatnym AI w Chrome, które samo rezerwuje bilety? Ten sam trend („Agentic AI”) trafi do sprzętu AGD. Roborock, Dreame czy LG mają pokazać roboty sprzątające, które nie tylko jeżdżą po mapie, ale podejmują autonomiczne decyzje. Zamiast harmonogramu „sprzątaj o 9:00”, robot sam oceni, czy podłoga jest brudna, jaki jest rodzaj zabrudzenia i czy domownicy są w domu, dostosowując tryb pracy bez ich ingerencji.

Agentic AI wchodzi do gry, ale czy jesteśmy na to gotowi?

2. Lenovo Legion Go 2 ze SteamOS?

To może być bomba dla fanów handheldów. Pierwszy Legion Go był świetny, ale Windows 11 na małym ekranie bywa udręką. Plotki sugerują, że Lenovo pokaże model z systemem SteamOS (znanym ze Steam Decka). To byłby pierwszy duży gracz „nie-Valve”, który wchodzi w ten ekosystem, oferując potężniejszy sprzęt z lżejszym softem.

3. Nvidia RTX 50 Super

Dla pecetowców to danie główne. Choć seria 50 jest już z nami, CES 2026 ma przynieść wersje Super – czyli odświeżone, podkręcone karty, które mają zaoferować lepszy stosunek ceny do wydajności. Jeśli planujesz upgrade PC, wstrzymaj się z zakupami do przyszłego tygodnia.

4. Rok inteligentnych pierścieni

Galaxy Ring już jest od pewnego czasu, ale smart-pierścieni jest wciąż mało. CES 2026 ma przynieść wysyp konkurencji. Organizatorzy targów wprost wskazali smart rings jako kluczowy trend. Spodziewamy się tańszych alternatyw i nowych funkcji zdrowotnych (może wreszcie bezabonamentowych?) od firm takich jak m.in. Ultrahuman czy RingConn.

5. Telewizory Micro RGB

Na deser ekrany. Samsung i Hisense mają pokazać ewolucję technologii Micro LED i Mini-LED, dodając do niej sterowanie RGB. Również LG zapowiedziało swój model Micro RGB. W skrócie: jeszcze lepszy kontrast i kolory, które mają zbliżyć telewizory LCD do perfekcji OLED-ów, ale bez ryzyka wypalenia.
