  3. IoT privacy compliance development.
Samsung will revise ACR data practices after legal action by the Texas Attorney General.

    Key elements:
    • Real-time viewing habit collection under scrutiny
    • Enhanced disclosure & consent flow promised
    • Emphasis on consumer transparency
    • Broader regulatory pressure on smart device telemetry

ACR data monetization highlights a persistent tension:
    Device intelligence vs user autonomy
    Advertising revenue vs explicit consent
    Convenience vs continuous telemetry
As regulatory enforcement increases, IoT vendors may face stricter consent design expectations.
Question for security & privacy professionals:
Should connected consumer devices require periodic re-consent for telemetry collection?

  7. Android Authority: Months after the promised change, Google Home is as unreliable as it ever was. “Hundreds of users are still complaining about Gemini, or Assistant, or both on Reddit. Commands that don’t work, routines that refuse to execute, mishearing, mis-executing, black-box troubleshooting when something fails, and on top of it all, a Gemini AI that is as good as throwing a ball at a […]

  16. The Sentinel Impact Tracker is truly simplifying the maintenance and tracking of crash cushions and safety devices. With easy installation, the Sentinel sends immediate impact notifications to your designated crew members.

Not only do they instantly know to repair a device, but also what the device is, what equipment and #TrafficControl equipment they need to complete the repair, and a track record of all the work that has been done.

  17. Computers are going backwards at a staggering rate.

Ten years ago you could share a large file with your friends and family without Goog, (sc)Amazon or other CAGEMAFIA systems involved in the process — today, this is almost impossible, without #I2P.

If you thought #Onionshare might work, it was not functional last we tried using it.
