    Smart charging is already mature tech and ready for use. It is important to use time-varying energy and network prices, and for TSOs and DSOs to remove barriers to small-scale flexibility.

    Interesting: Finnish energy regulator is requiring DSOs to allocate 1% of their budget to market-based flexibility solutions during the 2024–2027 regulatory period. As a result, smart EV charging has expanded from energy market optimisation to include the local grid (with market-based remuneration).
