@whitequark I expect the following (in favor of LEGO):
- There’s only an actual synthesizer inside
- It has probably no soundfonts or only limited ones

Reason:
It uses NFC to identify the setting/theme and then NFC again to identify the according figures/bricks.
If you want to program this brick with NFC, no WAV/MP3 can be transfered.
Using a programmable synth on the otherhand would suffice to push something like a midi/tracker file + settings. #lego #smartbrick

To największa zmiana w klockach LEGO od dekad. Na targach CES 2026 LEGO oficjalnie zaprezentowało platformę Smart Play – system, który dodaje do klasycznych zestawów dźwięk, reakcję na ruch i interakcję… bez użycia smartfona, aplikacji czy rozszerzonej rzeczywistości.

Zamiast ekranów i AR, Duńczycy wracają do korzeni: fizycznej zabawy, która dzięki technologii staje się po prostu bardziej „magiczna”.

Smart Brick – mózg wielkości klocka 2×4

Sercem nowej platformy jest Smart Brick. Z zewnątrz wygląda jak zwykły klocek LEGO, ale w środku kryje się miniaturowa elektronika:

• czujniki ruchu (akcelerometr i żyroskop),
• czujnik światła,
• układ sterujący,
• wbudowany głośnik generujący dźwięki,
• akumulator ładowany bezprzewodowo.

Smart Bricki komunikują się ze sobą lokalnie – bez telefonu, bez Wi-Fi, bez chmury. Klocki „wiedzą”, co się z nimi dzieje, i reagują w czasie rzeczywistym.

Inteligentne figurki i „świadomość” kontekstu

Smart Play to nie tylko jeden klocek. LEGO wprowadza cały ekosystem:

• Smart Minifigures – figurki z wbudowanymi chipami, które identyfikują postać,
• Smart Tags – płytki definiujące funkcję (np. silnik, broń, kokpit),
• Smart Brick – centrum reakcji i dźwięku.

Gdy posadzisz Dartha Vadera w myśliwcu TIE, zestaw „wie”, kto pilotuje maszynę i generuje odpowiednie efekty dźwiękowe. Gdy weźmiesz X-winga do ręki i zaczniesz nim manewrować, system reaguje na przeciążenia i ruch – silniki przyspieszają, zwalniają lub „krzyczą” w zależności od tego, jak się bawisz.

To nie jest AI w sensie algorytmów uczących się – to sprytna inżynieria sensoryczna, zaprojektowana wyłącznie pod zabawę.

Star Wars jako poligon doświadczalny

LEGO wie, gdzie uderzyć. Platforma Smart Play debiutuje w marcu 2026 roku wraz z zestawami Star Wars:

• Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter – klasyczny myśliwiec z dźwiękiem silników,
• Luke’s Red Five X-Wing – kultowy statek z inteligentnymi figurkami,
• Throne Room Duel & A-Wing – największy zestaw z dwoma Smart Brickami i efektami Mocy.

Przedsprzedaż rusza 9 stycznia, a premiera sklepowa zaplanowana jest na 1 marca 2026 roku.

Koniec z bateriami AA

Jednym z największych plusów systemu jest zasilanie. Smart Bricki mają wbudowane akumulatory ładowane bezprzewodowo – wystarczy położyć model na specjalnej macie ładującej.

Nie ma:

• rozkręcania klocków,
• wymiany „paluszków”,
• psucia konstrukcji śrubokrętem.

LEGO wraca do tego, co potrafi najlepiej

Smart Play to odważny ruch, ale bardzo „legowy”. Zamiast uciekać w aplikacje i wirtualne dodatki, firma wzmacnia to, co zawsze było jej siłą: fizyczną, kreatywną zabawę.

Technologia nie odciąga tu od budowania – ona je wzmacnia. I właśnie dlatego Smart Play wygląda nie jak chwilowa moda, ale jak fundament pod kolejne lata rozwoju klocków LEGO.

LEGO pokazało ruchomy zestaw NASA Artemis. Startuje z biurka, ale dopiero po Gwiazdce
