In my slow reading era now. Currently, I read two books simultaneously, one non-fiction, one fiction. One chapter each day (so that's two chapters because of two books). Love it. No pressure, no reading challenges.
Have to admit, this reading routine may go out of the window in the moment I find a book I cannot put down. 😅

@_jpmh_ @krstf I used to do the 100 books a year thing until I realized I was not enjoying what I read. I have reduced it to 50 a year and I don't fuss if I don't meet said KPI. I am all for #slowreading

#Book challenges are a popular way to deepen #reading #habits and #motivation, but they can bring stress and pressure to perform. I dont think we need to quantify everything. And that's when I heard of the #slowreading trend.

But challenges can create habits. Some time ago I realised I'm not reading at all. I promised myself 15m a day of booktime. It's been year and a half, I'm still in it and these 15 minutes are often an hour long.
