Die Gesichter und die Geschichte hinter dem @AtelierMitzi

Im Jahr 2012 wollte ich für mein Enkelkind ein Babyjäckchen aus #Biobaumwolle stricken. Doch damals war ein solches Garn nirgends zu finden. In dieser Situation musste ich an meine Oma Mitzi denken – und an das, was ich von ihr gelernt habe: Neues aus Altem entstehen zu lassen.
Als kleines Mädchen war ich oft gerne bei meiner Oma in ihrer gemütlichen Stube. Sie hat nichts weggeworfen. #Alttextilien schnitten wir zu Streifen für Fleckerlteppiche, aus Stoffresten häkelte sie Hausschuhe, und alte Stricksachen wurden aufgetrennt und zu etwas Neuem verarbeitet. Dinge bekamen bei ihr immer eine zweite Chance und ein zweites Leben.
Diese Haltung hat mich geprägt. Inspiriert von den Erinnerungen an meine Oma begann ich im Jahr 2012 selbst, aus scheinbar Wertlosem Neues zu schaffen. 2023 gründete ich mein Atelier für #UpcyclingArt und #Kunsthandwerk im Kunst- und Kulturzentrum Alte Rahmenfabrik in Wels. Das Atelier habe ich nach meiner Oma Mitzi benannt – als Erinnerung an ihre #Kreativität , ihre #Achtsamkeit und ihre #Lebensweisheit .
Früher war Wiederverwerten eine Notwendigkeit. Heute ist es eine Verantwortung. Denn vieles von dem, was wir wegwerfen, ist kein Müll – sondern wertvoller Rohstoff. Dinge zu reparieren, neu zu gestalten und ihren Lebenskreislauf zu verlängern, sehe ich als eine Möglichkeit, einen Beitrag für unsere Umwelt und für eine achtsame Zukunft zu leisten.

Le #slowcraft, ou "artisanat lent", est une approche qui valorise le temps, le savoir-faire et la durabilité. Il s’agit de créer avec intention, en prenant le temps d’apprécier chaque étape, tout en redécouvrant des techniques artisanales souvent oubliées.

🧵 Dans mon cas, la #broderie est au cœur de cette philosophie. J'apprends et pratique des techniques anciennes et régionales, comme le #Glazik, la broderie Elliantaise ou encore les Jours Anciens.
