  1. Cooked some strew with turkey cuts and veggies so now I have easy dinner for the next 3 or so days. 👍
Adding beans at the end so they don't get soggy and loose their bite.

  4. Slow cooker rice pudding. Using risotto rice instead of long grain, a cinnamon stick instead of ground cinnamon, brown sugar instead if granulated sugar, and added grated nutmeg and vanilla essence too. Doubled the quantities so i could use up more milk. Curious to see how it turns out.

  9. So, I put both Red Kidney beans and Romano beans in a casserole dish and slow cooked them in the oven overnight while I slept (at about 200 ℉). The place smelt wonderful in the morning.

Note: they were not pre-soaked, though I did preboil them for ten minutes. Apparently this is still dangerous due being insufficient to rid beans of toxic lectins. So, when they find my farting corpse, you'll all know why.

See a picture of the bean slop I made.

  14. This is my favorite way to cook beef short ribs, using a recipe by Eric Kim on Food52. I do change it around a little bit here and there. Tonight I served it with polenta instead of mashed potatoes and I used a bunch of brown shimeji mushrooms instead. Always delicious, especially with that gremolata to top it off.

  19. Slow-roasted chicken that can be done in the oven or a slow-cooker. I'll often put this together before heading out to work, and the house smells heavenly when I walk in the door: 6 boneless/skinless chicken thighs, a couple Tbsp each Dijon and mustard grains, 2 Tbsp dark honey, 1 tsp each coriander, paprika, cumin, turmeric, S&P, baked on very low heat for several hours.
