2010 & 2025. It took me a long time to rebuild after my studio was burglarized in 2006. First circuit bending & buying whatever cheap used gear I could afford. Kinda proud of this photo. I took every extra cable & mic we have & hung them in the basement. Though You can’t see em all cause gave it a vignette. @elise.slope114 doesn’t only pose with microphones for the internet. She’s a veteran singer songwriter from the San Francisco Bay Area 1/2 of @slope114 !
PS: I’m still not a real photographer! I’m just lucky to live in a time when this is easy.

I built this for my bro DJ Monty Luke a while back. His label is named Black Catalogue Records so I etched his logo on front & named it “The Black Hole Maker” . It’s two serge universal slopes, two negative slews, a filter, a mixer, & a random sample & hold. Packaged tightly in this enclosure with dual concentric pots. He’s since used it live while DJing on many gigs, live jams & studio productions! #modularsynth #analogsynthesizer #synthesizer #slope114

we havn’t released any original tunes for over a year. I love making music but hate the business side. don’t like feeling like I’m competing with other people for pennys. The joy I feel while making the tunes is worth more to me than that. So we spent a year just recording songs, not releasing. That period is over now & we can start to release tunes on our own terms. We could make tunes in a hurry, for cash or out of FOMO but the real magic happens when we’re eating right, getting enough sleep, are focused on the right things. It all comes from the inside. The magic is not external. When all that is in place the tunes just work instead of me having to put a lot of work into them. & then I walk around all happy like a jackpot winner. 😁#slope114 #housemusic #electronicmusic

It’s been 5 years since I went vegan. People always ask what I eat so here it is. I cut out processed sugar too. We just replace all meat with mushrooms & eat more salad than bread. Many dudes my age can’t get a boner because they consider eating meat to be a macho thing & veganizm as weak or feminin. Isn’t that funny?! I’m here to let you know that veganizm is worth it.
